This week, our Curriculum & Instruction Department successfully completed Modules 1–4 of the Preparing and Retaining Educators Program (PREP) Mentorship Program. Through this training, our team is preparing to serve as mentors for our new teachers, providing guidance, encouragement, and instructional support throughout the school year.
We are excited to walk alongside our newest educators as they grow in their practice and make a lasting impact in our classrooms. Together, we are building strong teachers, strong campuses, and a stronger future for APISD! #GrowGreatness Continue the GROWTH

The Kieberger campus conducted an EVACUATE drill today, April 9. During the EVACUATE drill, students and staff exit the building to a location. An EVACUATE drill is very similar to a fire drill. All our students and staff did an excellent job during the drill!
Drills are for staff and students, and are educational opportunities to practice life safety skills. We encourage you to talk with your child about today’s EVACUATE drill.
What is the EVACUATE Action?
The EVACUATE Action is called when there is a need to move people from one location to another for safety reasons. EVACUATE may be on-site, or offsite, and may be resolved quickly, result in early-dismissal, or require organized reunification of students and parents/guardians at another location. During EVACUATE, all students and staff move in an orderly fashion to a safe area.
Examples of EVACUATE Conditions
The following are some examples of when a school or emergency dispatch might call for an EVACUATE Action.
Power outage
Fire
Gas leak
Bomb threat
Event at the school that results in the school being deemed a crime scene

We were excited to welcome representation from Pflugerville ISD to some our campuses this week to see one of the safety integrations we’ve implemented this school year.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to share and collaborate with other districts, and continue raising the bar for school safety.
