Drills are for staff and students, and are educational opportunities to practice life safety skills. We encourage you to talk with your child about today’s EVACUATE drill.
What is the EVACUATE Action?
The EVACUATE Action is called when there is a need to move people from one location to another for safety reasons. EVACUATE may be on-site, or offsite, and may be resolved quickly, result in early-dismissal, or require organized reunification of students and parents/guardians at another location. During EVACUATE, all students and staff move in an orderly fashion to a safe area.
Examples of EVACUATE Conditions
The following are some examples of when a school or emergency dispatch might call for an EVACUATE Action.
Power outage
Fire
Gas leak
Bomb threat
Event at the school that results in the school being deemed a crime scene

Thank you to our counselors for all you do!

✨🛡️ 3rd Grade Spotlight! 🛡️✨
Our 3rd graders had an amazing time today diving into the Norse gods during their Amplify Viking Age unit! Students used a fun twist on Headbandz—guessing characters based on their mythology traits and characteristics.
It was incredible to see them thinking critically, collaborating, and bringing history to life through interactive learning. 🧠⚡️
Way to go, 3rd grade! Keep exploring, questioning, and discovering! 🚀📚#GrowGreatness

We are proud to announce Wayne Bennett as the new Superintendent of APISD! A unanimous Board vote affirms his commitment to student outcomes and our districtwide growth mindset. Read more on our website at www.apisd.org/article/2580299
