Congrats to the APHS Panther Prowl Yearbook Staff for winning the Camp Lone Star Rockport Workshop Photo Contest! The contest challenged attendees to capture a photo that encompassed key elements looked for in photojournalism. The workshop hosts said the Panther Prowl entry stood out with their use of framing and capturing interaction. The Panther Prowl will receive a $500 complimentary yearbook upgrade! Staff include Editor Audisey Sanchez, Editor Jesus Rodriguez, Casey Hagaman, Audrina Scott, Louis Ramirez, Randy Rangel and Advisor Dr. Liz Worley. Way to go Panthers!

Traffic advisory! For those traveling to Friday's varsity football game and Saturday's high school cross country meet, a traffic updated has been issued by the Harbor Bridge Project that may impact your route.
Beginning Thursday, September 26, at 9 pm until 9 pm, Monday, September 30, the Northwest Loop Ramp from Martin Luther King Drive to southbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) will be closed. Motorists heading to southbound SH 286 will be detoured to take the Port Ave/Nueces Bay Blvd exit, make a U-turn at Nueces Bay Blvd, and continue southbound on I-37 to the direct connector ramp for southbound SH 286.

Ms. Hackfeld's art classes at AC Blunt Middle School start the year off with a collaborative project. This year, they looked at the work of artist Chuck Close. Each class created a banner with a different image and color scheme in his style. Students were responsible for coloring their individual squares, which were pieced back together to make the banner. #NationalArtsInEducationWeek #WeAreAP #APexcellence
