A huge congratulations goes out to the APHS Band for their showing this weekend in the GP Tournament of Bands. Cadence Rocha won First Place in 3A Drum Majors, drum line came in 3rd place, and color guard came in 3rd place. Overall the band tied for 3rd place and got some great comments from the judges. Come out to Robstown this Saturday and support the Band as they compete at 12:45pm. Way to go Mr Schneider and the Panther Band.

Good morning Panther Nation! Based on information received regarding the weather forecast and travel conditions in our area, the school day and bus schedules will proceed as normal today, Thursday, September 25. As always, we encourage everyone to exercise caution when traveling to school. Thank you to our Transportation team and the APPD for their hard work and diligence when checking road conditions this morning to help keep our students and staff safe! Stay safe and dry Panthers!

DISTRICT UPDATE
Aransas Pass ISD administration is actively monitoring the forecast for potentially inclement weather on the evening of Wednesday, September 24 through the morning of Thursday, September 25. Although we would all be grateful for the rain, based on information received from the National Weather Service, there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms and flash flooding.

The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. In the event that travel conditions on Thursday morning are anticipated to be unsafe, we will provide additional updates regarding the school schedule via email, phone call, text message, District social media accounts, and local news media. Stay safe Panthers!

Reminder, this Friday our Varsity Panther football team is HOME against London, with Perfect Attendance Panthers before kick-off!

Students with perfect attendance at the district official attendance time (10AM) for the entire week of each home varsity football game will receive FREE admission and be eligible to run through the tunnel before the game!

This Friday:
🐾Gates open at 6PM, we recommend getting to the stadium early!
🐾Students will report to the concession stand entrance area and run the field at 6:30PM.
🐾No parents allowed on track or field.
🐾Please pick up students at the same entrance after completion of tunnel run.

Campuses will check weekly attendance on Fridays before home varsity football games and provide a wristband to each student with perfect attendance for the week. This wristband will grant the student free entry to the game.

Students must have their wristband to enter the game, and to enter the field to run through the tunnel. No replacement wristbands will be provided in the event the wristband is lost. Free admission will only be granted to the student. Accompanying parents/guardians and others with the student will be required to purchase a ticket online. Mrs. Sasin's class is farming - right from their classroom! Thanks to the Texas Farm Bureau's Farm From School program, students are able to visit virtually with Texas farmers and learn about the daily jobs and operations on the farm.
Pictured here is Mr. Roddy Shrunk, a Hill Country farmer who farms cotton, corn, wheat, and sunflowers. Students toured some the tractors and farm equipment he uses, and learned about how technology has positively impacted the farming industry. This opportunity allows students to explore careers opportunities in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mechanics.
