The Aransas Pass ISD Board of Trustees recognized the Panthers and Employees of the Month at their October 13th Regular Board Meeting.
October 2025 Panthers of the Month
Denise Limon is a PreK student at Faulk Elementary. Denise is an excellent PAX Leader who takes her time and ensures that her work is done right. She is a great friend to other students and who has done an excellent job of learning the routines of school. Great job, Denise!
Annabelle Kindervater is a 5th grader at Charlie Marshall. Annabelle Kindervater was voted Panther Student of the Month for all the right reasons! She is one of the kindest, sweetest young ladies to walk the halls of Charlie Marshall. Always helpful, hardworking, and respectful, she never has an unkind word to say about anyone. She truly represents what it means to show Panther PRIDE—an absolute model student! Congratulations, Annabelle!
Avah Leal is an 8th grader at A.C. Blunt. Month. Avah is a natural leader who leads with heart and integrity. She consistently takes initiative, supports her peers, and demonstrates genuine care for her team. Her dedication to academic excellence is matched by her talent on the field, making her a true scholar-athlete. We are so lucky to get to have a student like her on our campus. Avah is truly a shining example of a stellar student.
Kadence Rocha is a senior at Aransas Pass High who is a natural leader who strives to do her best in everything she does. Kadence is the Drum Major for the Panther Band and has worked hard to be a role model for every student. She shows up early, stays late, and always has a great work ethic and a positive attitude. Kadence is also an Athletic Trainer and works hard as an athlete.

Caitlin Commander has been an embodiment of joy at Faulk Elementary. She arrives at work each day with a positive attitude and a smile, and she is always willing to assist her colleagues, students, and the community, no matter what the task may be. Devon Boyd is a Life skill Para at Charlie Marshall Elementary. Devon Boyd is always positive and greets everyone with a smile each morning, she radiates joy and professionalism each day. Even in a challenging classroom, she never complains and continues to give her best. Her positivity and dedication make her a truly bright spot at Charlie Marshall—congratulations, Ms. Boyd our well-deserved Staff Member of the Month!
Lisa Durham is the Counselor at A.C. Blunt. We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Durhamʼs unwavering commitment to our campus. Her organization, thoughtful planning of staff appreciation events, and consistent recognition of colleagues through heartfelt notes uplift our entire team. Most importantly, her timely and compassionate counseling support for students ensures that their needs are met with care and urgency. Thank you for being a steady, thoughtful presence who makes a meaningful impact every day.
James McLendon or Mr. Mac, as the students call him, has been an incredible addition to the High School campus. Mr. Mac is the kind of teacher that a principal wishes he had 10 more because of his complete willingness to do whatever is needed for students. Mr. Mac always has a positive attitude and is definitely someone who students see as a role model and this is why James McLendon is October's APHS Employee of the Month.
