At the July 14, 2025 meeting of the Board of Trustees, Aransas Pass ISD approved an updated Compensation Plan for the 2025–2026 school year designed to ensure the district remains competitive in attracting and retaining high-quality educators and staff. The plan includes meaningful pay increases for teachers, support staff, and other employees, helping bring compensation in line with area districts while reinforcing the district’s commitment to the people who serve its students every day.
Highlights of the 2025–2026 Compensation Plan include:
Pay adjustments to salary scales based on the TASB-conducted 2023-2024 pay study to align scales to market;
$8,000 increase for teachers with 5 or more years of experience, in accordance with House Bill 2;
$4,000 increase for teachers with 3–4 years of experience, in accordance with House Bill 2;
$1,000 increase for teachers with 0–2 years of experience, as well as librarians, counselors, and nurses;
$1,000 increase for all professional staff;
3% increase for hourly staff, based on the midpoint of their respective pay grades;
$10-per-day increase to substitute teacher pay; and
A new $200 annual payroll benefit contribution towards an individual Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
