Aransas Pass ISD Interim Superintendent Wayne Bennett has announced the hiring of Vivian Ibarra to serve as the Data Coach and District Testing Coordinator beginning the 2025-2026 school year. In her new role, Ibarra will serve as part of the Curriculum Department.
Ibarra is excited to join Aransas Pass ISD and brings with her 19 years of experience in education, a passion for literacy, and a strong background in instructional leadership. Ibarra holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Reading from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. She is certified in English Language Arts and Reading for grades 4–8 and 8–12, and is also a certified Reading Specialist.
Throughout her career, Ibarra has served in a variety of impactful roles, including English Department Coordinator, Gap Intervention Specialist, Reading Intervention Teacher, and most recently, RLA/Social Studies Instructional Coach with Rockport Fulton ISD. Her commitment to data-driven instruction and student success makes her a valuable asset to the APISD team.
