The 2023-2024 Student Code of Conduct (SCOC), as approved by the APISD Board of Trustees, has been updated on our district website

One notable change to the SCOC for the upcoming school year is the requirement that students who sell, give, or deliver to another person or possess or use an e-cigarette (vape) must be placed in DAEP. This includes when a student is on school property, within 300 feet of school property, or while attending a school-sponsored or school-related activity on or off school property.

This is mandated under Texas State Law.

Parents will have the opportunity to review the SCOC during student registration, and must confirm they understand the rules and regulations described in the SCOC. In addition, students in grades 3-12 will review the SCOC at the beginning of the school year, and agree to abide by the expectations within.

We encourage parents and guardians to discuss with your child the seriousness and consequences of vaping in school, and the importance of making good choices. We appreciate the partnership we have with APISD parents and guardians as we work together to ensure the health and safety of all students.
