The APISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Secretary and Trustee, Veronica Johnson at the December 9, 2019 Public Hearing and Regular Board Meeting. The Board and Administration recognized Mrs. Johnson for her dedication to the students and staff of the school district during her time in public office. Trustee, Veronica Johnson was elected to the
APISD Board of Trustees and sworn into office on June 13, 2011. Mrs. Johnson served on the board as Board President and Board Secretary during her eight years in
office. Mrs. Johnson was presented with an award from President, Victor Galvan on behalf of the Board commemorating her years of public service.
Trustee, Edel Deases was selected by the Board of Trustees to fill the officer vacancy of secretary.
The Board will have 180 days from the date of Mrs. Johnson's resignation to fill the Board vacancy. The Board will be accepting applications for the vacancy. Applications may be found on the APISD home web page or a paper copy may be picked up at the Administrative Office.
