The defining characteristic of the nominee selected is their ability to maintain a focus on what drives us as a school district and directs all of our decisions and actions: the students. For this reason, and many more, we are proud to name Naomi Nobbie as the 2020 Educator of the Year. Mrs. Nobbie has many qualities that make her an exceptional leader. She remains professional and courteous at all times and is highly respected by her colleagues. She is passionate about children and communicates in a fair and nonjudgmental way. Mrs. Nobbie reaches out beyond the classroom, leading out in district and community projects such as clothing drives, toy drives, and beautification efforts across the district. She has an amazing attitude and is always looking for opportunities to get children excited and involved. She is willing to put herself out of her comfort zone in situations such as dressing up like dinosaur during morning car duty, all in an effort to increase students' enthusiasm for school and learning. Her passion for education and helping others is contagious and she never loses sight what is most important: the needs of our students.

Mrs. Nobbie was honored at the 83rd Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet where she received recognition and an award from Superintendent, Cara Cooke.

Please join us in congratulating Naomi Nobbie for this achievement!
