Week of February 25th
- NJROTC represented APHS at State in College Station at Texas A&M University. Tony Jackson came in 4th out of over 200 cadets academically, which is outstanding!
- Thank you to the Cheerleaders who cheered for our Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams.
- Boys Baseball defeated Port Aransas 15-1
- JV Girls Softball defeated Port Aransas 7-6
- Varsity Girls Softball defeated Port Aransas 13-3
- Aransas Pass Tennis Invitational has 19 schools participate
- Kaylee Thompson and Sarina Bhakta took 4th in Girls’ Varsity doubles
- Matthew Johnston took 4th in JV Boy’s singles
- Boy’s Baseball participated in the Gregory-Portland tournament against some tough opponents. They went 0-4 in the tournament, although, played hard against the other teams.
- Friday, Girls’ Softball opened district play with a win over Edna 9-6 in Edna. JV lost 4-7 and played strong.
- Friday, our Boys’ Basketball Team won the first round of the Regional Semi Final Tournament against San Antonio Cole
- Saturday, our Boys’ Basketball Team lost the final Regional Semi Final game by 1 point. What an OUTSTANDING SEASON! It was wonderful to see so many students, teachers, parents and family, and community members come to Seguin to support our Boys’ Basketball Team.
- Brianna Cribb and Hunter Isom have been selected to participate in the Texas Roundup All Star Basketball Game on March 16th.
- Saturday, the Boys’ track team competed in Odem.

Fall is a busy time of year, especially for high school students and their parents. There is a multitude of extracurricular activities, homework, testing, college preparation, applications to fill out, research, testing, and academics. Oh, and did I mention testing. It can all get to be a little overwhelming at times.

Aransas Pass NJROTC competed this past weekend at Flour Bluff High School. A total of 15 schools competed in basic drills, exhibition drill, color guards, Physical Fitness and Academics. We are proud to announce, along with instructors, Commander Adan Nieto and Chief Don Jeffers, that once again the Aransas Pass NJROTC has qualified for State, which will be at Texas A&M University, College Station, March 1, 2013. Congratulations to our Instructors and Cadets! Outstanding! |
